- Part time (0.6FTE), Fixed-term contract (Maternity Leave Cover) to 19 June, 2026

Role overview:
- Provide non-clinical early intervention supports for vulnerable families with children and young people who are showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing mental illness
- Ensure children and young people are at the centre of the service delivery model and their voices are heard and responded to.
- Provide short term assistance, information & referral
- Provide community outreach & home visits
- Provide longer-term (up to 6 months) early intervention for clients & families requiring more intensive support. This could include goal setting, mentoring and practical supports to help build strengths and resilience.
- Development and implementation of Family Action Plans, inclusive of the child, young person & relevant family member/s, to identify and action consumer goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services or other related discipline (ideally a completed Diploma or Bachelors)
- Knowledge, experience and skills in working with vulnerable children & young people within a family context, who are at risk of developing mental illness.
- Ability to work with marginalised individuals, families and communities
- Ability to develop partnerships and linkages with other services to establish good referral pathways into and out of the service
- Ability to work within a team, as well as autonomously and manage a case-load.
- Highly effective communication & interpersonal skills.
- Record Keeping, Case note & computer data entry skills.
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
- Current Driver's License
