About this Opportunity
McCosker Contracting are seeking a Project Manager with experience in reinforced concrete structures, preferably in industrial plants to join our team in the Gladstone Region.
In this position you will provide effective management of the project team, and successful planning, management and delivery of the contracted works in accordance with client requirements. This role is accountable for successful project outcomes through effective leadership of the project team, managing the program schedule, risk, safety, operations, and resources associated with project deliverables.
This position will work individually and in a team environment to deliver exceptional outcomes, while maintaining a safe and productive culture and having a positive impact on the community in which we operate.
This position is required to travel and work on various project sites, where we operate, to support the successful delivery of project and company goals.
To be successful for this role:
- Industry recognised qualification in project management or equivalent
- Experience in civil engineering and project management
- Knowledge of the civil construction industry and current projects
- Experience in a civil based business
- Experience in reinforced concrete structures
- Able to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience in coordinating labour, resources and procurement
- Highly effective in negotiating and communicating with clients and project personnel
- Experience contributing to tenders and delivering projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrated ability to lead and implement the scheduled program of work
- Highly effective in adhering to legislation and standards for performance, quality, cost and safety
- Current Queensland Open Drivers Licence
- General Construction Induction (white card/blue)

- Self-motivated in the completion of tasks
- Use of confidentiality, and discretion when dealing with sensitive information
- Able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Able to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skills
- Lead by example, acting ethically and with integrity
