Project Specialist – Facilities Maintenance

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Project Specialist – Facilities Maintenance to contribute to Council's success.

• 9 day fortnight, located in Gladstone

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to facilitate and contribute to significant projects, improvements/ upgrades as well as support facility maintenance of Council assets including corporate and community facilities throughout the Gladstone Region.

You will bring:

·  Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (or related discipline) or proven success in managing building projects, together with skills and experience in preparing and executing project plans.

·  Proven experience in contractor engagement, procurement, and management.

·  High-level business collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution and relationship-building skills to engage with and influence key stakeholders and employees.

·  Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written English) skills, to effectively liaise with employees, internal and external stakeholders.

·  Proven ability to manage time and problem-solving effectively.

·  Current Construction Induction White card.

·  Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
