About the role

As a Business Development Manager at the Sydney Restaurant Group, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and expanding the company's portfolio of hospitality clients, including a focus on corporate events and conferences. This full-time, office-based role in Sydney, NSW, will see you building and maintaining strong relationships with potential corporate clients, identifying new business opportunities, and securing new contracts to support the Group's ambitious growth plans.

What you'll be doing

  • Prospecting and building a pipeline of new business leads
  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities
  • Pitching and presenting the Sydney Restaurant Group's services to potential clients
  • Negotiating and closing new business contracts
  • Managing and maintaining ongoing client relationships
  • Providing regular updates and reports on business development activities and pipeline
  • Supporting the wider sales and marketing team with campaigns and initiatives
  • Create and implement business development strategies in conjunction with overarching sales strategy to drive revenue growth
  • Attend industry events, trade shows when required

What we're looking for

  • Proven track record in new business development, preferably within the hospitality or restaurant industry
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities
  • Proficient in the use of CRM and sales reporting tools
  • Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional customer service
