About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at Ricks Artisan Pies and Sourdough in Noosaville, QLD. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment, producing high-quality artisanal baked goods.

What you'll be doing

  • Crafting a variety of sweet and savoury pastries, cakes and tarts using traditional methods and premium ingredients
  • Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all baked goods
  • Collaborating with the head chef to develop new and innovative pastry items
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  • Mentoring and training junior team members
  • Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
  • Working early morning shifts as required for pastry preparation

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-quality restaurant, cafe or bakery environment
  • Strong technical skills in traditional pastry techniques
  • Creativity and an eye for detail to produce visually appealing baked goods
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • A team player with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Must have Australian work rights
  • Trade qualification in pastry or culinary arts required
