Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Volunteer Board Member. The position is located in Glen Waverley, VIC. The Board Member will be responsible for attending board meetings, providing strategic direction, and participating in decision-making processes. Ideally, the board member will have marketing and/or fundraising experience. Board Members will work closely with other board members and staff to ensure the effective operation of the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in governance, strategic planning, and leadership
  • Knowledge of fundraising, marketing and social media
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Wavecare Counselling
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support organisational goals
  • Previous experience in non-profit or community-based organisations is beneficial
  • Availability to attend regular board meetings and engage in additional duties as required
