About Us:
Magnus Health Pty Ltd is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with high-intensity needs. We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Support Workers to join our team providing support to our participants at our SIL homes & community access throughout Brisbane including Mitchelton, Stafford, Chermside, Ascot, Woolloongabba, Tingalpa, Annerley, Richlands, Browns Plains, Logan Reserve, Meadowbrook, Beenleigh. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for our participants through dedicated and personalised care.
Role Overview:
We are looking for dedicated Support Workers to provide a range of support across our SIL Houses and in home community access shifts. The shifts and rosters do vary depending on our participants needs including 1:1, 1:2 participants across 24 /7 rosters.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide high-quality support and care to the participant in accordance with their care plan.
– Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and meal preparation.
– Ensure the participant's safety and well-being at all times.
– Implement behavior management strategies to address behaviors of concern involving physical harm.
– Engage in meaningful activities that promote the participant's independence and quality of life.
– Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
– Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
– Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
– NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Skills and Attributes:
– Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– High level of reliability and commitment to the role.
– Ability to handle challenging situations with a calm and positive approach.
– Experience and confidence in managing behaviors of concern involving physical harm.
