The ideal applicant is required to have a minimum of three years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality barbering services including cutting, trimming, and styling hair using scissors, clippers, and razors, tailored to each client's preferences and hair type.

  • Provide beard and moustache trimming, shaping, and grooming services using professional barbering tools.

  • Apply contemporary and classic haircutting techniques to create a wide range of styles suited to different age groups and cultural preferences.

  • Perform traditional wet shaves with precision and attention to detail, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable experience for clients.

  • Consult with clients to determine their desired styles and provide professional advice on haircut suitability, beard maintenance, and scalp care.

  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with strict sanitation and health standards.

  • Deliver excellent customer service by building rapport, managing appointments, and creating a welcoming and inclusive barbershop environment.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a professional barber or hairdresser, with a strong portfolio showcasing your haircutting, styling, and grooming skills.

  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Hairdressing or a related field is desirable but not essential.

  • Excellent knowledge of contemporary and vintage haircutting techniques, as well as expertise in traditional wet shaving.

  • Ability to confidently work with a diverse range of clients – including men, boys, teens, students, and seniors – while maintaining professionalism and delivering high-quality service.

  • Strong communication skills to understand client needs, offer tailored recommendations, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for creating precise and stylish haircuts and hairstyles.

  • A genuine passion for barbering and grooming, with a desire to stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in the industry.
