Schedule: Monday to Friday, Evening shifts

About the Role

Biniris is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor to lead our cleaning team in the Hobart CBD. This part-time, evening-based role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and hands-on cleaning experience. You will play a key role in maintaining service standards, supporting your team, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating a team of cleaning staff
  • Handling and resolving client concerns or complaints
  • Performing general cleaning duties (e.g. dusting, scrubbing, mopping)
  • Safe manual handling and use of cleaning equipment
  • Waste removal from internal bins
  • Operating mechanical cleaning tools, including backpack vacuums
  • Cleaning and sanitising of kitchen and toilet facilities

As a Supervisor, you will lead by example and support your team to deliver high-quality cleaning services in line with client expectations.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • A high standard of personal presentation
  • Reliability, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Proficiency in English – both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel to and from the Hobart CBD outside regular business hours

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Comfortable complying with all PPE requirements, including wearing masks when necessary
