About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Investor Services Associate to join our Melbourne-based team. This role is ideal for someone in the early stages of their career with 1–2 years of experience in customer service, financial services, or contact centre environments. You'll be the first point of contact for our retail investors, providing high-quality service via phone and email.
This is a great opportunity to build a career in financial services and gain exposure to investment products, client servicing, and the broader funds management industry. While this role is initially being offered as a 12-month full-time contract, we are looking for an exceptional, client focused individual, who will make the role their own and potentially become permanent.
As an Investor Services Associate, you will be an integral part of the team and will be responsible for providing the highest quality client service to investors, prospective investors, and financial professionals. The Investor Services team plays a central role in resolving issues and responding to retail clients requests, developing and maintaining strong relationships with retail clients through verbal and written communications and partners with teams across the organisation to deliver a seamless and high-quality client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Handling inbound calls from retail investors, advisers and other financial professionals from Australia and New Zealand regarding account status (i.e. account balances, trade / maintenance history, etc.), fund operations, and information on our suite of products
Develop and nurture working relationships with external and internal stakeholders. This includes retail investors, advisers and internal parties such as portfolio managers, Sales and Distribution, Legal, Risk and Compliance and Investment Operations
Assist in the client on boarding process by ensuring relevant AML/KYC requirements are met
Client reporting, responding to written client inquiries, and assisting other teams within the organisation with this process
Assist with oversight of the outsourced registry provider
Delivering cash flow reports to portfolio managers
Assist in collating relevant information for Board reporting
Manage ad-hoc projects assigned by the Team Leader
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Business or a related discipline is preferred, but not essential
A genuine interest in the Funds Management industry
A strong desire to learn from the ground up - prior experience or familiarity with managed investment schemes will be highly regarded
Call centre and/or customer service experience is preferred
Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and work well under pressure
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service orientation, attention to detail, professionalism and commitment to quality
Proven capability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt with a flexible and positive attitude
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
