Early Childhood Preschool Teacher 2026

Goonellabah Preschool Inc. is seeking a Bachelor of Early Childhood qualified teacher who is committed to quality practices, collaborative and supportive teamwork to provide high quality early childhood education to children aged 2-5 years. The successful applicant will be joining a dedicated team of permanent educators and a team of casual support educators. This position is for covering a teacher on Maternity Leave).

The role

• Your passion and enthusiasm will see you leading a classroom by effectively engaging with educators, families, children, and the wider community to implement the educational program and experiences to meet the individual needs of the children
• Applicants will have recent ECEC teaching experience and be confident in programming, documentation and assessment of learning, with a sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and NQF.
• A commitment to uphold and contribute as a team member to our preschool's Vision, Values, Philosophy and Aims and the ECA Code of Ethics for quality high standards of ECE
• A good understanding of Goonellabah Preschool Policies and Procedures and willingness to undertake to the role of Responsible Person and other leadership roles when required.
• You will have confidence in building strong relationships and partnerships with children and families
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience, to document and program for the children's skills and interests that include a clear cycle of reflective practice
• Competent use of computer and iPad for documentation and use of app's such as Storypark and OWNA.

• NESA accreditation as a teacher? What stage and what year is your renewal date? Current teaching approval is a requirement of employment.
• Current approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma qualifications?
• Current approved NSW Working with Children Check
• Child Protection CHCHILD401A certificate and completed refresher training within the last 12 months?
