Job Description:

We're a dedicated team committed to providing top quality care for the elderly, and we're looking for a Casual Cleaning/Laundry/Catering staff to join us at Riverview Aged Care. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our environment is clean, safe, and comfortable for the members of our community. This includes taking care of our cleaning, laundry, and catering needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of all areas within the facility.
2. Assist with catering duties such as food preparation, serving meals to residents, and cleaning up afterward.
3. Monitor and replenish cleaning and laundry supplies as necessary.
4. Ensure adherence to infection control policies at all times.
5. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation as per the organization's guidelines.
6. Assist in setting up and clearing dining areas before and after meal times.
7. Be respective and responsive to the needs of residents and staff.
8. Adhere to health and safety guidelines to create a safe working environment.
9. Complete documentation each shift recording temperature checks and other tasks.

Required Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in a cleaning, laundry, or catering role, preferably in an aged care setting.
2. Knowledge of cleaning products and safe handling practices.
3. Basic food handling/food safety knowledge.
4. Able to physically handle all cleaning and laundry tasks, including lifting, carrying, washing, ironing, and folding clothes.
5. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and individually.
7. Able to adhere to strict hygiene and health and safety policies.
8. Current police check or willingness to undergo a police check.
9. Compassionate and caring attitude towards the elderly.
