Surry Hills, New South Wales, Australia News Corp Australia Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

What's the role?

As
Client Strategy Director
across our
Consortium Agency NSW
portfolio, you'll lead the charge in crafting high-impact, insight-led, commercially-driven ideas that make clients sit up and take notice. You'll work in close partnership with sales leads, product & planning specialists, editorial teams, and audience & research specialists to turn business challenges into breakthrough campaigns.

You'll spend the bulk of your time doing what you do best:

  • Uncovering powerful insights
  • Building and presenting compelling narratives
  • Driving pitches that win
  • And coaching others to do the same

This role suits someone who is deeply fluent in agency culture - whether from the inside, or as a partner who knows how to navigate, influence and lead within it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pitches that win hearts, minds and budgets - from shaping the strategic approach through to bringing the story to life
  • Translate complex business problems into powerful campaign ideas rooted in insight and cultural relevance
  • Partner with sales and marketing leads to proactively identify growth opportunities for priority clients
  • Be a mentor and multiplier - lifting capability in strategic storytelling across the team, directly managing a small team of Strategy & Insight Managers
  • Develop strong relationships across agency partners, working at all levels to drive influence and opportunity
  • Leverage News Corp Australia's full ecosystem of assets, insights and editorial expertise to create best-in-market solutions

Who are you?

  • A creative commercial thinker with experience in media, advertising, publishing or marketing
  • Proven experience pitching, building narratives, and delivering integrated media or content strategies
  • Able to interrogate a business challenge and surface sharp, original insights
  • Confident presenting to senior stakeholders - you're at ease in the boardroom and thrive under pressure
  • Passionate about mentoring and lifting capability in others
  • Comfortable navigating complexity, ambiguity and high expectations
  • A team player who gets energy from collaborating - but isn't afraid to lead the room
