Short Summary:

Reporting to the Integration and Technical Support Manager, the AV Commissioner is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of audio-visual technology and services provided to our clients work as intended.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and interpersonal skills and is pivotal to the successful delivery of projects to our clients.

What about the role:

  • Draft and coordinate all aspects of interfacing for audio visual systems into our client's premises (encompassing both hardware and software).
  • Perform on-site AV commissioning and configuration programming.
  • Preparation and publication of end-user documentation.
  • Completing test plans, while following system schematics and functional briefs to test finished systems.
  • Fault finding systems, and resolving issues associated with design and manufacture.
  • Physically setup elements of systems to prove the concept.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Project Managers and Site Supervisors as required.
  • Build productive working relationships with project and client stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and provide technical support expertise.

What experience or qualifications do I need:

  • Relevant trade certificate in Telecommunications, Electronics, Audio-Visual, IT and Networking or Multimedia is desirable.
  • Experience in Video Conferencing, Audio Visual and Control systems such as AMX, Creston, Extron, Cisco and Poly.
  • Experience in setting up and configuring a wide range of audio DSP's.
  • Demonstrated understanding of networks, specifically relating to AV control systems, UC/VC and AV over IP technologies.
  • Experience with C++, Java and Graphical User Interface programming.
  • Ability to correctly read and interpret technical documentation.
