Female support worker

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Provide care and support to participants in line with their NDIS goals.
  • Assist with personal care activities including showering, getting dressed, personal hygiene, toileting, getting in and out of bed, assistance with eating and moving around the house.
  • Assist with household tasks including meal preparation, house cleaning and laundry.
  • Transport clients to appointments, school, work or anywhere else they need to go.
  • Assist clients to participate in the community – for example visiting the library, seeing a movie or joining a sports club.
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes for clients.
  • Willing to do sleepover and night shifts
  • Willing to provide personal care for male and female participants

Qualifications and requirements

  • Experience with disability
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability or other equivalent qualification (required)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • valid Driver's License (preferably) and access to Comprehensive insured car
  • Full work rights in Australia
  • Manual Handling

Other requirements:

Must be willing to provide personal care to male or female participants

  • Must be willing to travel up to 30 minutes to get to placement
  • Willing to take sleepover and night shifts
  • Friendly and enthusiastic
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
