ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provide defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

About the Role

The Supervising Psychologist is an integral member of an experienced multidisciplinary health care team providing a range of high-quality evidence based clinical services to Eligible Personnel in accordance with professional standards and legislation.

The team is responsible for undertaking assessments, risk assessments, crisis intervention, case formulation, programmatic treatment intervention, and care co-ordination, as well as additional support services as required.

This is a permanent part time role working Wednesday to Friday.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Australian Citizenship for Baseline Security Clearance purposes
  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.

  • Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

  • Approved as a Supervisor by the Psychology Board of Australia

  • Minimum 2 years full-time (or part time equivalent) Post Graduate Experience supervising provisionally registered psychologists undertaking a Board approved supervised practice program for the purposes of obtaining General Registration

  • Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA

  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.

  • Knowledge of relevant State/Territory policies and procedures and national standards governing mental health practice (desirable)

  • Knowledge of the ADF Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy desirable)

About Enoggera Health Centre

Enoggera Health Centre is located at Gallipoli Barracks in Brisbane, and provides support to Gallipoli, Victoria, Bulimba, and Damascus Barracks. Established in 1908, this modern military base currently spans 600 hectares with approximately 8000 members. The largest base in South Queensland, it incorporates the Deployable Joint Force Headquarters, a major manoeuvre formation, local support facilities and a range of training facilities. The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health, and pharmaceutical services. This facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The standard operating hours of the centre are generally Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend shifts).
