SuperAPI is on a mission to simplify employer compliance through intuitive, integrated tools that automate payroll and superannuation obligations. Xonboard is our customer-facing product for Xero Payroll users. It helps employers, accountants, and bookkeepers easily collect tax, bank, and super details from new employees, securely, compliantly, and ready for payroll.

We started with a simple idea: remove the friction from employee onboarding. Today, tens of thousands of Australians use our products every month, and we're building towards a future where every employer, payroll system, and super fund can connect seamlessly. With Payday Super reforms landing in 2026, the demand for trusted, compliant solutions like ours is growing rapidly.

About the role

This role is our first dedicated Customer Success hire, a unique opportunity to shape how we onboard and support customers, while also influencing how the product is delivered as we grow.

As our Customer Success Specialist, you'll spend most of your day helping customers get started with Xonboard and showing them how to get value quickly. You'll be running onboarding calls, answering questions, building knowledge base content, and making sure users feel confident and supported.

This is a varied role in a startup environment, one moment you'll be running a training session with a bookkeeper, the next you'll be updating content for our website, or sharing customer feedback with the product team. If you thrive in a customer-facing role and enjoy rolling up your sleeves, you'll love the impact and ownership this position offers.

A glimpse into your week

  • Start your morning with a "getting started" session for a new Xero Payroll customer, walking them through setup, answering questions, and helping them feel confident.
  • Check in with yesterday's sign-ups, make sure they're activated, and follow up with a few customers about new features we've just released.
  • Write a new article for our knowledge base based on a common support question, or update the website with a new customer resource.
  • Join a product meeting to share insights from customer conversations, what they love, what's confusing, and where we can improve.
  • Respond to support tickets and calls from accountants and employers, troubleshooting issues and guiding them step-by-step.
  • Follow up a priority accounting or bookkeeping firm to help them activate more of their client base.
  • Drop into a Facebook group or LinkedIn thread to help out and represent Xonboard in the community.
  • Co-ordinate and attend an Enterprise Sales meeting with top 10 Accounting or Bookkeeping firm
  • Celebrate wins with the team when customers tell us "this is so much easier than how we used to do it.

What we're looking for

  • 1 - 3 years' experience in customer success, support, onboarding, or a customer-facing role (SaaS, technology, bookkeeping, payroll).
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable learning and explaining new software.
  • Strong communicator who relates well to accountants, bookkeepers, and employers.
  • Curious, proactive, and willing to muck in across the team.
  • Familiarity with payroll/accounting software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) is highly desirable.

The important stuff

  • Melbourne CBD - On-site, 4-5 days per week in the office
  • Full-time, 38 hours per week
  • $80k - $90k per annum + super
