This is your chance to be part of a new patient focussed service that prioritises recovery and the delivery of best-practice, trauma-informed care in a brand new 24-bed building. About the Role
Join a passionate and collaborative team where your contribution will truly make a difference. As an Allied Health Assistant – Social Work within the CALHN IMHRS, you'll work under the direction of experienced Social Work staff to support the day-to-day delivery of therapeutic and recovery-focused services. This hands-on role involves engaging directly with consumers, helping to foster connection, independence, and community reintegration in a safe, supportive environment. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values teamwork, professional growth, and culturally responsive care, all while supporting individuals on their recovery journey. If you're someone who values compassion, practical support, and meaningful impact—this is the role for you.

You'll bring a compassionate, person-centred approach to your work, along with a genuine interest in supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Your ability to connect with people from all walks of life, combined with strong communication and organisational skills, will see you thrive in this collaborative team environment.
- You've completed, are currently studying, or are willing to work towards a Certificate IV in Mental Health (Non-Clinical) or a relevant undergraduate qualification in a health discipline.
- You have a natural ability to build rapport with people experiencing mental illness and can communicate clearly and respectfully across a diverse range of backgrounds.
- You're a reliable team player who works ethically, maintains confidentiality, and is motivated to grow through regular supervision and feedback.
- Previous experience in mental health, community or disability support—along with knowledge of local resources and basic computer skills—will be highly regarded.
If you are passionate about making a difference in mental health rehabilitation, we'd love to hear from you
