About you...

You are a positive, motivated person who is skilled in providing therapy support services to individuals and groups in the community setting.

**Qualifications**:
Completion of Certificate IV Allied Health Assistance of equivalent from a registered training organisation

OR

Bachelor or Masters of an Allied Health undergraduate degree student (From Years 3 and 4 onwards in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Human Movement, Speech Pathology and others).

About the position.

Allied Health Assistant in a contractor role within a close knit, dynamic and positive team to provide mobile therapy support services to individuals and groups as per directions of the Allied Health Professionals.

Effective liaison within the multidisciplinary team and ability to work autonomously and independently is essential.

You will also be responsible for administrative duties which assist with client management and will contribute to the smooth operation and ongoing development of the community rehab program

Must have own ABN, current Australian drivers licence and at least third party insurance, current registration with relevant bodies, appropriate immunisation for Covid and flu vaccination as per current SA Health requirements, current First Aid certificate, valid National Police Check and DCSI screening checks (can be sponsored or reimbursed by the company).

Key selection criteria

Previous experience within a hospital or working with a multidisciplinary team desirable.

Experience assisting Allied Health Professionals desirable.

Sound interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work well within a team and relate to medical, nursing and Allied Health staff and patients.

Sound knowledge base of medical terminology.

High level of English literacy.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously (within scope of practice).

Sound computer skills.

Confident in water.
