Located in the heart of Graceville's vibrant dining precinct, Botellon Tapas & Wine Bar is a bustling neighborhood gem. Nestled on the picturesque Honour Avenue, our corner spot boasts charming alfresco street dining under laurel tree canopies. Inside, you'll find an intimate, luxurious space reminiscent of a traditional Spanish tapas bar. With seating for 70 and the capacity to serve up to 120 covers on busy days, Botellon is a favourite for those who appreciate exceptional food, wine, and service.

We are a locally owned and operated restaurant with a passion for Spanish and European cuisine, and we are looking for a talented Head Chef to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you will:

  • Bring at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Specialise in Spanish and/or European cuisine (preferred).
  • Lead, train, and inspire a small team (typically 3 members).
  • Develop and create seasonal menus and fortnightly specials, staying ahead of food trends.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised kitchen.

Hours and Roster

  • Closed: Monday & Tuesday
  • Working week typically 11am-9.30pm Wednesday-Sunday
  • Work up to 44 hours over 5 days, with daily 1-hour breaks.
  • Flexible start and finish times depending on the weekly roster and restaurant demand.

Trading Hours:

  • Wednesday & Thursday: 4:00pm – 9:30pm
  • Friday to Sunday: 12:00pm – 8:30pm

Compensation

Pay is negotiable based on experience and references.
