Kitchen Assistant – Social Groups Activity Centre

We're looking for a Kitchen Assistant with a big heart and a love for food to help bring joy and flavour to our community meals at the Social Groups Activity (SGA) Centre.

If you enjoy preparing hearty, home-style dishes — from fresh salads to comforting pastas — and take pride in keeping a kitchen running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you

Italian cooking experience is a bonus, but what really matters is your passion for creating delicious, nourishing meals for people from all walks of life.

What You'll Do

  • Assist our Cook in preparing and serving tasty, nutritious meals
  • Get hands-on with food prep, cooking, cleaning, and dishwashing
  • Help keep our kitchen sparkling clean and organised
  • Work as part of a friendly, supportive team serving our CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) community
  • Occasionally step up to run the kitchen when the Cook is away

About You

You're someone who:

  • Loves to cook and experiment with different cuisines
  • Brings a positive attitude and team spirit to the kitchen
  • Has a keen eye for cleanliness and food safety
  • Enjoys connecting with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Is reliable, flexible, and ready to lend a hand wherever needed

What You'll Need

  • Experience in cooking or kitchen work
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • A high standard of personal presentation

· Copy of your car registration certificate.

· Copy of your comprehensive insurance certificate.

· Copy of your Driver license Front and back side.

· Valid First Aid Cert/ CPR

· Copy of your Yellow and Blue Card if applicable.
