About the role
Are you a Disability Support Worker wanting to join our dynamic, supportive team at AchieveAbility Community Services' working with one of our Participants residing in Windsor, VIC. This casual role offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, supporting them to live independently and achieve their goals. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our mission to empower and support our community.
What you'll be doing
- Working along side an individual living with an ABI and vision impairment meet his daily living goals
- Facilitate and encourage the development of independent living skills, promoting the autonomy and self-determination of the individual you will support
- Accompany and assist participant with accessing the community, participating in recreational and social activities, and attending appointments
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality care
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to implement individual support plans and monitor client progress
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment that empowers our participants
What we're looking for
- A passionate and committed female support worker available for shifts Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9.30am - 6.30pm supporting an individual living with ABI
- Experience working with individuals in their own homes with a commitment to promoting their independence and wellbeing to live the life they choose.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, their families, and the broader care team
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to your work
- A valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, current first aid certificate and all NDIS compliance checks/documentation
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or similar, are highly desirable
