We're a family-run business, deeply rooted in values that span generations. As we expand, we're looking for a Shed & Spraying Supervisor to join us on this exciting journey and play a pivotal role in the future of Rombola Family Farms in Nericon, NSW.

About the Role:

The Farm Spraying & Shed Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the chemical shed, managing stock and inventory, and ensuring all spraying activities are carried out using the correct chemicals, mixtures, and rates. This role is critical in maintaining safe and compliant chemical practices, protecting crops from damage, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of all chemical movements and usage. The position also supports the general upkeep of the workshop and supervises the team responsible for chemical handling and spraying operations. This will be an afternoon into evening shift.

Key Responsibilities:

Chemical & Spraying Accountability:

• Ensure the correct chemicals are used for each crop and application, preventing incorrect use or crop damage ("burning").
• Verify that all spray operators are using accurate chemical mixes, rates, and safety procedures.
• Check and record all chemicals going out for use and those returned to the shed after spraying.
• Maintain accurate spray logs and usage records for compliance and traceability.
• Ensure all spray equipment is clean, calibrated, and functioning correctly before use.
• Provide on-site support and guidance to the spraying team during operations.
• Chemical Shed & Inventory Management:
• Oversee the chemical shed and ensure safe storage, labelling, and handling of all products.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and reconcile inventory levels against usage.
• Receive incoming deliveries of chemicals
• Maintain SDS records and ensure compliance with all chemical safety regulations.
• Keep a clean, organised, and compliant chemical shed at all times.

Chemical Shed Management (within Workshop):

• Oversee the chemical shed located in the workshop, ensuring safe storage, labelling, and handling of all chemicals.
• Oversee the irrigation shed within the workshop, ensuring all irrigation parts and supplies are available, in good order, and ready for use.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and reconcile inventory levels for both chemical and irrigation sheds.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and reconcile inventory levels against usage.
• Manage ordering and delivery of chemicals, lubricants, and other consumables used in spraying.
• Maintain SDS records and ensure compliance with all chemical safety regulations.
• Keep the chemical shed organised, clean, and compliant at all times.

Team Support & Accountability:

• Supervise the spray team and ensure all operators follow safe work and chemical handling procedures.
• Provide practical guidance and support to team members on correct chemical usage.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in farm operations, chemical handling, or spraying support (minimum 2–3 years).
• Chemical Handling Certificate (ACDC or equivalent) – required.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural chemicals, crop protection products, and safe handling procedures.
• Proven attention to detail and record accuracy.
• Basic mechanical understanding of spray units and farm machinery.
• Current driver's licence (HR or MR licence advantageous).
• Ability to work flexible hours during spraying periods.
