General Manager – Sales & Marketing

Maternity Leave Max Term Contract

We are seeking an experienced
General Manager – Sales & Marketing
to join our team on a
maternity leave max term contract
. This pivotal role will drive organic growth, oversee new revenue streams, and strengthen our market position and reputation across Australia & New Zealand.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will:

  • Manage the sales process to deliver revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies for organic growth and new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across the hotel and accommodation sector.
  • Represent ahs hospitality at industry events, conferences, and client functions.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, tenders, and sales materials.
  • Negotiate and finalise new client contracts, working closely with Operations on smooth transitions.
  • Support the development of marketing initiatives and communication strategies.
  • Mange the annual Sales & Marketing business plan and budget.
  • Lead a team of high performing Sales & Marketing contributors.

About you

We're looking for a commercially driven leader with:

  • A proven track record in
    sales, business development, or commercial leadership
    within hospitality, accommodation, or a related service industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Experience identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution.
