**About the role
Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to perform a large volume of tertiary level, sub specialist Bariatric surgery. The suitable candidate will be exposed to a multi-surgeon complex bariatric surgical unit. The Bariatric Surgical fellow will be expected to run and contribute to both public and private outpatient setting bariatric clinics.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
This position requires the successful application to actively participate in the rostered-on call service including extended hours shifts, nights, weekends and public holidays.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, to interact effectively with patients, families and staff.
Duties - In conjunction with the Director and consultant staff General Surgery Unit attend to the overall management of unit patients.
Cover the unit from time to time in the Outpatient Department and Operating Room in the absence of the other unit registrars.
Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
