Our Practice

Hardwick Psychological Services a well-established private psychology practice in the leafy suburb of Ashgrove, Brisbane. We are in our 13th year of operation and have a strong reputation for excellence in clinical psychology and neuropsychology.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people across the lifespan who experience emotional or cognitive challenges. We have a wonderful team of clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists and ed dev trained psychologists and registrars.  We provide a range of assessment and intervention services for clients across the lifespan.

The Role

We are looking for early career psychologists who might be interested in doing the following:

• Clinical Psychology Registrar Program
• Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology Registrar Program

Our registrar positions are offered as either full-time or part-time employment opportunities.

2026 Registrar Program

We offer a semi-structured registrar program that covers the core competencies for the registrar program and builds on your skills gradually over the course of the program.

Supervision

We include all individual supervision in the program. We also run two group supervisions per month that cover therapy and assessment skills. You also have available peer supervision once a month. Depending on the areas of psychology you wish to gain exposure to, we can also set you up with supervision opportunities with other senior psychologists in the practice who have relevant expertise. We regularly have speakers to present to our team on various topics. All individual, group, peer and inhouse CPD is included in the program at no extra cost

CPD Budget

We offer a CPD budget of $1000 per annum for a full time role to contribute to other external supervision that might assist you to further explore areas of interest.

Resources and Technology

We also have a host of great resources, including recorded CPD, handouts, treatment programs and manuals, and a range of questionnaires. Included for each employee is full access to NovoPsych for testing and questionnaires, and also NovoNote for AI support when it comes to notes and reporting. We have training and policies and procedures that have guided our AI implementation and the team have found it extremely beneficial to improve efficiencies.

We also have an excellent selection of Neuropsychological and Cognitive tests and we add to this test library yearly. We use iPads and Q-Interactive to administer tests, and also have hard copies of most of the tests too. We also have a selection of online questionnaire tools for a range of mental health, personality, cognitive and neurodevelopmental conditions.

Join a Team of Registrars

In addition to the supervision and general administration support provided, you will also join a group of registrars who can provide the peer support that can really be helpful in the early years of your career. Currently we have a group of 8 Clinical Psychology, Clinical Psych & Neuropsychology, & Ed Dev registrars.

Requirements

• AHPRA registration as a general psychologist (by the time you start the role).
