The Opportunity 

Are you passionate about student wellbeing and community connection? This is your chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting the unique needs of students from Defence families, as part of the Defence School Mentor Program (DSMP).

As a Defence School Mentor, you will play a vital role in helping students transition smoothly into school life, fostering a sense of belonging, and connecting families with the support they need. Working closely with the Pastoral Care Team, you will help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student can thrive. You will thrive in this role if you:

• understand the school system and how it supports student wellbeing
• have insight into the Defence lifestyle and its impact on families
• are familiar with wellbeing principles for children and young adults
• bring a genuine love for working with young people and supporting their growth
• either hold a current Paid Blue Card for working with children issued by Blue Card Services or be eligible to obtain one prior to commencing in this role.
