About The RoleWe're looking for an experienced Senior Payroll & WFM Consultant with Dayforce experience to join our team in Melbourne. This role requires a payroll expert who can immediately step in to solve critical business problems for our clients while aligning with our core mission and goals.

As a senior member of the team, you will play a key role in payroll transformation, working closely with clients and stakeholders to improve payroll processes, ensure compliance is being met and drive efficiencies. You will also mentor and support junior team members, encouraging a culture of learning and collaboration.

Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll & HR Management & Transformation
- Lead payroll pulse checks, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Support HCM & HRIS implementations, migrations, and automation projects predominantly in Dayforce.
- Ensure payroll compliance while optimising efficiencies.
Client Facing Consulting
- Provide expert payroll advice, ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Build strong client relationships and deliver tailored solutions.
- Conduct payroll audits, system reviews and recommend improvements.
Critical Problem Solving
- Troubleshoot and resolve urgent payroll issues with minimal disruption.
- Identify risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve payroll performance.
Legislation & Compliance
- Stay updated on Australian payroll legislation and tax regulations.
- Ensure client compliance with reporting and regulatory obligations.
- Educate and guide clients on legislative updates and impacts.
Work Ethic
- Take ownership of client projects with minimal supervision.
- Manage multiple payroll projects efficiently.
- Adapt to changing client needs while maintaining quality service.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Promote knowledge-sharing and continuous learning.
- Contribute to team discussions and strategic planning.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and automate tasks.
- Develop and implement payroll best practices.
- Evaluate payroll technology and recommend enhancements.
Client Travel (As Required)
- Travel occasionally for hands-on payroll consulting.
- Work on-site to resolve complex payroll issues.
- Provide in-person training and support as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll consulting, HR management, or transformation.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, or Business (preferred but not essential).
- Expertise in Dayforce payroll systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax, and compliance.
- Proven success in payroll implementations, process improvements, and automation.
- Experience in client-facing consulting or managing multi-client payroll operations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and foster a positive team culture.
- Flexible to travel to client sites when required.
