About us

The Australian Golf Club is a private Member's Club located in Rosebery. The Club is the oldest Golf Club in Australia, having been originally founded in 1882. The Club prides itself on its history and tradition and expects excellence in service delivery to the Members.

As a team our goal is to provide our Members with an exceptional golfing and hospitality experience, while aiming to provide a collaborative and caring environment for our team members to work in.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Attendant to work with us on a causal basis for up to 25 hours per week as part of a rotating roster. Ordinarily, shifts will vary in length between 11am to 7pm.

This is a great role for someone with strong customer service skills, who can build positive relationships with our Members and guests. Your main responsibilities will center around providing first-class customer service to our Members and guests, including:

  • Taking orders and serving drinks + food in our bar and restaurant
  • Barista coffee making
  • Operating POS system for charges
  • Servicing and maintaining locker rooms
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the bar and restaurant, including clearing tables and restocking supplies
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining good relation with all Members and guests
  • Providing information on our restaurant menu and discussing daily specials

The role would be great for someone looking for a role to grow their experience in a dedicated and engaged team.

About you

  • Experience in hospitality is essential, with at least 3 years of bar & a la carte experience in a similar environment.
  • Previous experience in a Golf Club is highly advantageous.
  • Able to work a bar and restaurant floor with confidence.
  • Wine knowledge
  • Barista experience
  • RSA and Bar experience is essential.
  • Experience using POS machines for billing purposes.
