Snr Software Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a capable and motivated Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our core engineering team and help evolve Gallantree's cloud-based commercial lending and securities platform. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid experience across both front-end and back-end technologies who is ready to contribute meaningfully to a modern, fast-moving product environment.

You'll be involved in developing user interfaces, APIs, automation workflows, and integrations across the platform. Working closely with the business and engineering leads, you'll help translate complex financial workflows into clean, scalable, and efficient technology.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in agile, growth-stage environments, where ownership, initiative, and continuous learning are encouraged.

Experience in financial services or structured finance is a plus, but not required—curiosity and technical versatility are more important. Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Gallantree's proprietary cloud-based lending and securitisation platform, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Strong proficiency in full-stack development, leveraging TypeScript, React, Node and Python to build high-performance applications.
• Expertise in modern front-end frameworks such as React and Vue, ensuring an intuitive and seamless user experience.
• Extensive experience with back-end technologies, including and , to build scalable, efficient, and maintainable server-side applications.
• Design, develop, and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices architectures, ensuring smooth integration with external financial systems, data providers, and risk models.
• Work with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Heroku) to deploy and manage scalable applications, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
• Implement best practices in DevOps, leveraging CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
• Continuously refine and improve the platform's performance, leveraging caching strategies, database optimisations, and code efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
• Familiar with Cursor or other AI-based development tools to speed by delivery.

Specific Skills Required of the Role:

1. 4–10 years of professional full-stack development experience.
2. Solid experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React or Vue.
3. Familiarity with and back-end frameworks (e.g., , Express).
4. Experience with Python is a plus, especially in API and data processing contexts.
5. Experience with cloud environments (AWS or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
6. Strong understanding of REST APIs, relational databases, and secure coding practices.
7. Comfortable working independently and proactively in a fast-moving environment.
8. Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
9. Interest in finance, fintech, or enterprise platforms is a plus.
