The Opportunity

As a Finance Analyst at Dexus, you will play a key role in supporting the Retail business unit by delivering accurate, insightful, and timely financial analysis and reporting. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the development and preparation of comprehensive Asset Plans across the Retail portfolio. These plans are critical in shaping strategic decision-making and driving performance within the broader Real Estate business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial insights are aligned with business objectives, helping to identify opportunities, manage risks, and support long-term value creation.

You will make an impact by:

  • Financial Modelling & Valuation: Building and maintaining cash flow and internal valuation models to assess key investment metrics, including IRRs, income yield, and capital returns at both asset and portfolio levels.
  • Performance & Strategic Analysis: Conducting in-depth analysis on leasing, benchmarking, and sensitivity scenarios to support strategic decision-making and portfolio performance reviews.
  • Reporting & Insights: Preparing accurate and timely property, portfolio, and fund-level reports; develop dashboards and KPIs to visualise key business metrics and trends.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal teams and external partners, including valuers and managing agents, to ensure data accuracy, process efficiency, and strong commercial outcomes.
  • Business Support & Continuous Improvement: Supporting acquisition/divestment activities, contribute to due diligence, and drive process improvements while upholding Dexus values and workplace safety standards.

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance is essential; CA or CPA qualified. Background in Business, Property, or Land Economics is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in analytical roles within property or retail sectors. Exposure to property valuation in agency or institutional settings is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Yardi Core Solutions, Forecast Manager, TM1, and data visualisation tools such as Excel and Power BI.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-performing team and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, strong time management, commercial acumen, and the ability to work autonomously while delivering accurate forecasting and insights.
