About the role

MS Civil is seeking a full-time Civil Works Labourer to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assisting with a variety of civil construction tasks, contributing to the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects across the region.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing general labouring duties, including site preparation, excavation, backfilling, and loading/unloading materials
  • Using hand tools and power tools to complete a range of construction tasks
  • Assisting with the installation of drainage systems, kerbing, and other civil works
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Following all safety procedures and wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Supporting the broader construction team as required

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a civil works labourer or in a similar construction role
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
  • Commitment to safety and a strong safety-first mindset
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Current construction industry white card or willingness to obtain one
