About Us

The Crooked Carrot is a family owned Café in Myalup Western Australia, situated on Forrest Highway, 1.5 hours south of Perth, at the gateway to the Southwest region. Our Café & pristine grounds/playground has quickly become a well-known destination in the region. The Café is open for breakfast and lunch 7 days a week, with kitchen hours from 6.00am to 2.30pm every day.

About the role

We are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our dynamic team on a casual or full-time basis. You must be able to work in our busy commercial kitchen, working under the direct supervision of our senior chefs. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu dishes, as directed by the Head Chef.

About You

  • Currently working in a fast-paced commercial Kitchen and/or a minimum of 12 months experience as a Cook.
  • Creative and innovative. Demonstrated ability to present food of excellent quality.
  • Experience with breakfast and lunch preparation, including grilled items, salads, and café-style dishes.
  • Available to work weekends and rostered shifts (which may include some public holidays).
  • Fun, easy going person who can work in a fast paced environment whilst keeping your cool and enjoying what you do.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding kitchen environment.
  • Have excellent food hygiene practises.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Certificate.
  • Must have the right to work in Australia.
