Your new role

As the site safety officer, you will develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans and procedures. Additionally, you will provide advice on safety work practices and legislative changes.

Additional key accountabilities

  • Maintain records of safety audits, inspections, and incident reports.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for construction and maintenance sites.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety inductions for staff and contractors.
  • Liaise with contractors and project managers to ensure safety standards.
  • Review and approve subcontractor safety plans.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety General
  • General Construction Induction White card
  • Previous experience in similar role managing workplace health and safety on large commercial building projects for the principal contractor.
