An opportunity waits for a Kitchen Hand in Marrickville reporting to the Operations Coordinator.

The position is for someone who has flexible availability with potential to work morning and/or afternoon and able to work 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting up, serving, and clearing dining room and setting up food trolley for delivery of meals to residents
  • Assist in the provision of catering services within the facility
  • General cleanliness of all kitchen equipment used in the production of food and work surfaces
  • Preparation of coffee and tea and serve for Residents
  • Wash all dishes used
  • Assist with food service as directed by cook

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Experience in Aged Care (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of infection control, manual handling, and hazard identification.
  • Prior training or experience in food safety
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to follow kitchen cleaning schedules
  • Reliable and hard working
  • Strong WH&S awareness
