Job DescriptionWe are seeking a commercially driven and strategic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our commercial function and position the hotel as a market leader in Brisbane's competitive hospitality landscape. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is responsible for developing and executing the hotel's Sales & Marketing strategies, with a focus on driving performance across corporate, MICE, leisure, and digital channels.
You will lead a small Sales & Marketing team, including other senior leaders, and work closely with Accor's regional support teams to leverage global tools and campaigns. The role requires a strong understanding of market segmentation, channel mix optimisation, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform tactical and strategic decisions.
- Monitor and optimise performance metrics including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and channel mix.
- Develop and execute the hotel's commercial strategy across all market segments.
- Oversee digital marketing, brand positioning, and public relations initiatives.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and client functions.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing Sales & Marketing team.

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior sales and marketing leadership role within hospitality.
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Expertise in digital marketing, CRM, and revenue management systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience with Accor systems such as Opera, TARS, and AccorLive Limitless.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality.
- Background in branded hotel environments or international hotel groups.
