ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to senior management, you will lead, support, and mentor a team of estimators while taking ownership of the estimating function for those projects. With a strong pipeline of work already secured, this role offers both stability and the chance to put your stamp on processes, systems, and team culture.

THE DAY TO DAY:

  • Lead and develop a team of estimators across multiple projects
  • Drive cost planning, feasibility, and tendering for medium-density and light commercial builds
  • Coordinate subcontractor pricing and supplier engagement, supporting broader procurement strategies in collaboration with management
  • Refine and implement estimating processes and reporting tools
  • Collaborate with design, construction, and development teams to ensure accuracy from concept through to delivery
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities for your team

THE MUST-HAVES:

  • Background as either:

    • An experienced Estimating Manager looking for a fresh challenge, or

    • A Lead / Team Leader within the estimating function seeking the next step into leadership/management
  • Exposure to medium-density residential/townhome developments (essential)
  • Experience with light commercial projects (bonus)
  • Strong knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and market conditions
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
  • Leadership potential with the drive to build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team
  • Full Australian working rights (essential)
