We're looking for a dynamic and experienced PR professional to take the next step in their career and lead publicity for major tennis events and the rising stars of Australian tennis – from elite junior to the pros.

About The Role
As the Publicity Manager – Events & Performance, you'll be at the forefront of our national PR strategy, driving media coverage and storytelling across the Summer of Tennis, Billie Jean King Cup, Davis Cup, national Pro Tour and junior events, and more. You'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to shape the public image of our events and athletes, while leading a high-performing team of PR professionals and contractors.

This is a rare opportunity to combine your passion for sport, storytelling, and strategic communications in a role that puts you at the heart of Australian tennis.

  • Developing year-round strategies to elevate the profiles of Australian tennis players at all levels
  • Building strong relationships with media, influencers, and key stakeholders
  • Managing a full-time staff member and event teams, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Delivering media training and content opportunities for athletes and coaches
  • Collaborating across Content, Production, Broadcast, and Performance teams to ensure cohesive messaging.

What We're Looking For

  • A seasoned PR professional with 10+ years of experience in media, communications, or public relations.
  • A natural storyteller with a sharp news sense and a proven track record of securing impactful media coverage
  • A confident leader with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Highly organised, with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines
  • A collaborative communicator who thrives in fast-paced, high-performance environments
  • Passion for sport and a deep understanding of the media landscape.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in public relations, media, journalism or equivalent experience.
  • Current (or willingness to obtain) Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Alignment with our values: Imagination, Collaboration, Humility, and Excellence

What's to love?
You'll be part of a passionate and driven team shaping the future of tennis in Australia. From the global stage of the Australian Open to grassroots talent development, your work will have real impact. We offer a dynamic, inclusive workplace with opportunities to grow, lead, and make your mark. Other perks include:

  • Career development with a range of formal education and on the job training opportunities
  • Tickets to the Australian Open plus Superbox tickets to events at Rod Laver & Melbourne Arena
  • Monthly health & wellbeing activities with access to CorePlus Pilates
