You'll ensure smooth workforce operations by contributing to the optimisation of rosters, compliance, and reporting, whilst bringing strong administrative skills and a confident, professional manner to your daily work.
This role has two focuses: coordinating the workforce and liaising with key stakeholders in your local region, whilst also working as part of the National team servicing the AHSC support line that operates Monday – Sunday.
Roster Cycle: 6-week rotating schedule
Possible Daily Start Times:
Week 1: 2pm-10pm
Week 2: 8am-4pm
Week 3: 5am-1pm
Repeats as above for week 4-6, except in week 2 you will have an RDO on the Friday.
On-Call & Weekend Work:
On week 2, you will be on call on Saturday 5-9am and then 5-10pm. During that same week, you will work 12-8pm on Sunday.
As an Operations Coordinator in the AHSC contract, you'll make a positive impact by:
- Managing unplanned leave absences and shift backfill.
- Overseeing the health workforce, including maintaining accurate staff listings.
- Facilitating leave approvals and contract changes.
- Processing locum assignments and coordinate travel/accommodation bookings.
- Coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes for staff.
- Ensuring compliance with mandatory training and readiness requirements.
- Collaborating with payroll to resolve roster-related queries and ensure accuracy.
- Preparing regular and ad hoc reports for internal and client use.
- Supporting the regional leadership team to optimise rosters and manage workforce needs.
Serco is a place for you
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- Australian Citizenship due to clearance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional data management skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong administrative capability and a confident, professional manner.
- Proficiency in MS Office, with solid Excel skills, and familiarity with tools like Power BI.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with staff and stakeholders.
- Previous administrative experience, ideally in a 24/7 operational environment.
- Experience in clinical and/or defence environments (highly regarded).
In joining us, you'll be part of a highly supportive culture with trusted leaders who will help you achieve your goals. Here, you'll appreciate a flexible approach to work-life that comes with working at a company with long-term government-backed contracts.
