About the role:

Join a collaborative and supportive team at Bairnsdale Power Station, where culture and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. As an Operations & Maintenance Technician, you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of our power generation assets. You'll work closely with a small, multi-skilled crew that values open communication, mutual respect, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. What you'll do:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, small installations, and support operations during outages to keep the power station operating safely and reliably.
  • Operate and maintain equipment according to the Annual Work Plan and assigned work orders.
  • Investigate and report equipment incidents, troubleshoot problems, and implement action plans.
  • Accurately record maintenance data for analysis, audit, and compliance.
  • Monitor dashboards, manage your workload, and provide monthly reports on work order status.

What you'll bring:

  • Electrical trade qualification (Cert III or equivalent) and a current driver's licence.
  • Experience with plant operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Instrumentation and high voltage (HV) switching experience.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and procedures.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills and a focus on safety and improvement.
