Senior Mining Engineer | Perth, WA | FIFO + Office-Based | Full-Time / Contract

What you will be doing:

  • Solving moderate to complex mining problems autonomously and providing practical solutions.
  • Developing mine plans, designs, and schedules using leading software.
  • Delivering high-quality, timely outputs that meet client expectations and MEC's standards.
  • Engaging directly with clients to understand needs, identify issues early, and build long-term relationships.
  • Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
  • Identifying opportunities for business improvement and contributing to industry networking and business development.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 6+ years post-graduate experience, including at least 3 years on site.
  • Background in surface metals with exposure to design, scheduling, drill & blast, or grade control.
  • Strong mine planning and scheduling skills.
  • Confident in Vulcan and/or Alastri suite (Deswik, Ventsim, Micromine, Spry experience also valued).
