Management Accountant

An amazing opportunity is opening for a Management Account and for our Northern Operation. The Management Accountant - Plants is a key member of the JBS Northern Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller for the region. The role will assist the Operations Accounting team, providing direction, development and coaching whilst continuously evolving the systems and processes. This is a full-time role with annual salary higher than $76,515.00 plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities of the position:

· Effectively partner with key stakeholders to build collaborative internal relationships which will also involve travel to each of our plants in the Northern Division

· Serve as a business partner to help HR and Payroll team to reconcile PLS deductions keep record and chase updates to be compliant on FBT reporting.

· Serve as a business partner to the Northern Operations Management team, providing support on all matters relating to the Northern Plants performance and financial processes

· Review, collect and record data for preparation of timely and accurate weekly/ monthly results/reports

· Review and prepare journals and general ledger reconciliations

· Review and prepare month end reports including analysis of operating costs

· Liaise with Senior Management and manage queries on site

· Analyse standard to actual cost variances. Identify challenges and opportunities and recommend corrective actions as indicated by performance to meet cost performance targets

· Support the business plan and annual budget process, working closely with key stakeholders to build financial forecasts based on the company's strategic direction

· Providing Auditors with samples & reports as required.

· Manage monitoring AFE project completion and facilitation of asset capitalization for Northern Business Unit

Skills/Competencies:

· Tertiary accounting qualifications and professional membership (CA or CPA) desirable

· Experience in a management accounting role in a large business, with a minimum of 3 years' experience

· High attention to detail

· Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel – including macros, Powerpoint and Word).

· Experience with data reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, QlikSense or equivalent) is desirable

· SAP experience is desirable

· Ability to prioritise, multi-skill and work in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to identify basic cause & effect relationships with strong analytical skills

· Strong commercial acumen to ensure data-informed decision making

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment

· Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
