We will provide you with WFH IT equipment plus reimbursement of up to $500 for additional equipmentLearning and career development programs for all roles and levelsFree daily breakfast, office drinks and social eventsGenuine commitment to health and wellbeing, pro bono and community, and diversity and inclusion across our firmLearn more about what Hall & Wilcox can offer you: About the role and teamWe have an exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Systems & Reporting Manager to join our national People & Culture team on a 12 month fixed-term contract (parental leave cover).This role can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney, and is a full-time position, however flexible working arrangements will be considered.Our national People & Culture (P&C) team encompasses the full spectrum of human resources functions, including P&C Business Partnering; P&C Operations; Talent Acquisition; Early Careers; Diversity, Inclusion & Wellbeing; Learning & Development; Performance & Reward; Organisational Development; and Systems & Reporting.Reporting to the Director - P&C, this role is responsible for leading the P&C Systems and Reporting function, including ownership of existing and new people & culture systems and processes, data and reporting. The successful candidate will be a member of the P&C leadership group, collaborating and influencing across the function and directly with the business. You will also establish strategic and operational priorities for the function, aligned with P&C strategic priorities, firm strategy, and future of work developments.You will be responsible for:P&C systems and processes, including:strategy and oversight of P&C system architecture and eco-system of technologies and apps, including integration with other systems used in the firm;recommending annual priorities for uplift and optimisation of systems and subscriptions;ownership or co-ownership of existing and new P&C systems including managing or co-managing key relationships with vendors;consulting with P&C team and other stakeholders with regard to their requirements, and continuous improvement to systems and processes;identifying improvements to P&C processes and systems, and designing and implementing new workflows with consideration of people, technology and processes;collaboration and working relationships with IT, Finance, Payroll and Client Solutions teams, for effective workflows between systems, enable streamlined processes, and share learnings;communicating with end-users to promote processes and how to optimise systems and streamline work;where appropriate, providing training on systems and processes, including project management and testing for system changes or new implementations;change management and communications for system and process changes; andcreating and maintaining documentation for implementation and/or upgrade of any new and existing systems.P&C reporting, including:setting the standard and uplifting P&C reporting and insights for key audiences, creating live dashboards and automating real-time reporting which pulls on multiple data-sources;working with reporting specialists to design and develop reports which optimise data visualisation and insights;producing regular and ad hoc P&C reporting for key people and workforce metrics; andP&C contributions to compliance and other reporting.P&C data, including:responsibility for high standards of data management, data cleansing, and security within P&C systems;ensuring the right governance and security settings are in place on all systems, data and reporting, to comply with requirements for handling and safeguarding of employee and firm data;understanding the data that is generated and utilised in the P&C team across various systems, and making recommendations as to how this data can be optimised and insights derived to support business decision-making; andscoping and working towards data warehouse for P&C data from across multiple systems and sources.Leadership, including:providing strong leadership for team (both direct report and other P&C team members), delegating effectively, providing feedback, coaching and empowering for high performance, and providing stretch career opportunities;Smarter Law - providing leadership and expertise on cross-functional teams in P&C, to identify and implement initiatives for improved ways of working, efficiencies and best use of technology;AI - curiosity and drive to learn about AI functionality within current P&C systems, recommend what is implemented or not, including exploring adjacent AI agents and tools, and making recommendations as appropriate for P&C;communicating proactively and regularly within and outside P&C to educate and upskill in relation to systems, reporting and data;collaborating across the P&C leadership group to help strengthen cohesion and lift the overall leadership effectiveness for P&C function; andstaying connected with external market and P&C professional networks, bringing insights back to the firm. About youYou will ideally have the following skills and experience:a minimum of five years of experience in P&C systems and reporting; P&C operations; or P&C generalist roles within a professional services firm;experience with procurement and implementation of P&C systems;skilled in using and optimising technology systems, apps and tools;ability to lead a team (direct reports and cross-functional teams) and deliver on outcomes;leading thinking to define work, establish effective project management approach, and execute against the plan;a strong client (internal stakeholder) service focus and commercial/business acumen;excellent attention to detail and accuracy;excellent organisational skills and experience in managing competing priorities and demands;strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop rapport, build strong relationships and influence stakeholders;the ability to think outside of the box and introduce improved and creative ways of working;a leader and team player who enjoys working co-operatively as part of a collegiate team, and can also work autonomously; andstrong ethics and integrity and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
