As a System & Network Administrator you will provide first line IT support, monitor IT systems, perform upgrades, and ensure IT systems and networks are operating at optimum performance and security. You will be responsible for considering, designing, implementing, and maintaining network operations throughout all global operations and cloud deployments.

You will be responsible for documenting IT processes and procedures, plus documenting all hardware and software. You may be required to travel to our other office locations in the UK, Japan, and USA for periods of time to support operations at these locations. At least three years previous experience in a similar role is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first line IT support to users.
  • Maintaining user accounts and application software licences.
  • Maintain IT networks including those deployed in a cloud environment.
  • Ensure IT systems meet the required security standards and upgrade/maintain as and when required.
  • Monitor, Administrate, augment or update network infrastructure to maintain operations and support new projects and businesses.
  • Audit the company's IT systems and software and maintain an asset register.
  • Document IT policies, procedures and existing or planned infrastructure.
  • Document IT systems hardware layout and software deployment.
  • Analyse, test and perform upgrades for new software patches when required.

Required Skills

  • At least three years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced RedHat and other Linux systems administration.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining virtualised Linux servers on premises and in the cloud.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications and other services on Linux and Windows Servers, for example LDAP, IDM, DNS, SFTP, Mail.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining networks and associated equipment.
  • The experience and skills to setup secure and robust VPN, VLANs and firewalls.
  • Experience rolling out cloud services such as Office 365.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships, with all stakeholders, in a fast-paced environment.

Highly Regarded Skills and Attainments

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration certification
  • Juniper certification
  • CCNA or equivalent network engineering certification
  • OpenStack and/or OpenShift administration and deployment experience
  • Azure, AWS or Google Cloud certification
  • Cybersecurity training and certification
  • Australian Citizen in order to gain Security Clearance
