Position Accountabilities

  • This role is responsible for leading and embedding transformational Occupational Health and Safety initiatives across all field-based activities within the Department of Transport and Planning. It focuses on reducing workplace injuries by driving evidence-based safety programs, analysing risk data, and implementing consistent, proactive risk solutions in collaboration with divisions and contractors. The position also undertakes assurance activities, investigations, and training while coaching managers and staff to strengthen safety performance and ensure compliance with legal and organisational standards.

Mandatory
Qualifications and experience

  • Diploma Work Health and Safety
  • ICAM Qualification and or demonstratable experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work across locations within metropolitan and regional Victoria.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions on subject matter expertise

Desirable

  • Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and development
  • Certificate IV Training & Assessment
