expression of interest
in the Senior Safety Advisor role based in the Gippsland region of Greater Melbourne.

Experience and role

We require a minimum of 8 years experience on large scale infrastructure with experience on site.

  • Assist in monitoring (ongoing) as subcontractors commence (upward reporting to Project Safety Manager)
  • Communicate HSE requirements to subcontractor's onsite
  • Review Subcontractor HSE Interview Questionnaires and verify the capability of the subcontractor to deliver the required work task to agreed HSE standards
  • Report any key issues to project leadership team and regional HSE management
  • Assist in identification of key areas and develop HSE training needs analysis (safety and L&D supporters)
  • Assist/carry out monitoring of current competencies and support ongoing development needs.
  • Deliver training throughout project (where client allows)
  • Assist in incident investigations and report to appropriate personnel
  • Assist in site communication.
  • Prepare project or workplace HSE inductions and prepare, conduct and/or coordinate HSE training programs
  • Regularly review project HSE systems and plans against activity requirements
  • Track progress against role & responsibility profiles and report on activities to project leadership team
  • Enter and extract data from incident management system

Qualifications

  • Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.,
  • Cert IV in Environmental Management,
  • Bachelor degree in Safety, Quality, Environment, Project Management or other associated disciplines,
  • Safety Lead Auditor Qualification
