Job Description
As a Cyber Analyst, you will investigate and communicate with our customers on cyber operations and how Darktrace positively impacts their businesses. You will analyze technical data to identify potential cyber threats, providing clients peace of mind. This diverse role involves making quick decisions in a SOC-focused environment, researching emerging threats, and offering bespoke consultancy on security workflows. Suitable for all entry-level and developing individual contributors, you will work within well-established internal processes with regular oversight and guidance.

You'll receive extensive training and support as you develop. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and strong deduction capabilities to analyze and resolve issues. Our ideal candidate can work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a diverse team. Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Use the Darktrace platform and supporting tools to investigate alerts and write reports
  • Assist in assessing risks and implementing straightforward security measures.
  • Identifiy different techniques used in phishing scams and how to avoid them.
  • Answers basic customer questions through email or chat with clear, simple responses.
  • Initiate simple conversations that help build a connection with customers.
  • Regularly use tools to monitor network traffic for unusual patterns.
  • Identify threat trends and investigate campaigns across Darktrace's customer environments
  • Proactively engage in communication with team members to discuss strategies and objectives.
  • Creates simple checklists for tasks to ensure nothing is missed and can complete tasks within set deadlines
  • Share knowledge internally and externally, such as producing technical blog posts, about interesting incidents or network finds
  • Confidently represent Analyst work and cyber security principles both internally and externally as required
  • Pro-actively monitoring and staying up to date with the latest developments and trends in cybersecurity
  • Become a technical expert for customer facing engagements, sharing best practices and supporting customers in their adoption of the Darktrace platform
  • Share best practices and support customers in their adoption and usage of the Darktrace platform
  • Contribute to the development of Darktrace and how it functions
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer and business data security

Qualifications & Experience

  • You understand basic procedures to follow when a security breach occurs.
  • You can articulate the AI enhancements integrated within our core products and how they benefit users
  • You have a deeper understanding of the security measures embedded in our core products.
  • You can explain how each feature of our core products operates and its importance.
  • You've demonstrated the ability to actively listen to team members during meetings, providing relevant feedback and ensuring all viewpoints were acknowledged.
  • You regularly engage with your team members to discuss project updates and challenges, ensuring everyone is aligned and can provide support when needed.
  • You can organize a daily task list ensuring tasks are completed on time without missing details.
  • You've independently resolved a set of client issues by breaking down the task, gathering necessary data, and applying practical solutions within given constraints.
  • You independently set personal objectives that align with team goals and make communication a routine part of performance discussions.
