About the role

Brolga Cranes' is currently seeking experienced Crane Operators and Riggers to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland. Offering the flexibility to work when it suits you best. As a Crane Operator and Rigger, you will play a vital part in the safe and efficient operation of our cranes, contributing to the success of our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operate a range of mobile cranes in compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards
  2. Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned cranes
  3. Interpret lift plans and rigging diagrams to ensure safe and efficient crane operations
  4. Act as a competent Rigger, selecting and inspecting appropriate lifting gear
  5. Communicate effectively with site supervisors, ground crew and other workers to coordinate lifts
  6. Maintain accurate records of crane usage, maintenance and any incidents
  7. Promote a positive safety culture and ensure the wellbeing of yourself and those around you

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Crane Operator and Rigger in the construction industry
  2. Valid High Risk Work License for the operation of the relevant crane classes
  3. Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings, lift plans and rigging diagrams
  4. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other workers
  5. Commitment to safe work practices and a proactive approach to workplace health and safety
  6. Flexibility to work a casual schedule, including weekends and public holidays as required
