Key responsibilities include:
- Form a key part of the electrical engineering team within the Engineering Services team.
- Draft briefs for new build and refurbishment projects and contribute to all stages of the project, including site inspections and commissioning, through to end-of-life.
- Review documentation provided by external stakeholders and ensure the University's interests are met.
- Update and maintain Electrical Services infrastructure information and support the facilities management team with complex tasks.
- Deliver engineering projects with an asset replacement and/or energy efficiency focus.
You have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (recognised in Australia) with current membership of a recognised engineering institution, and on a pathway to achieving RPEQ.
- Two to three years minimum post-graduate work experience in Australian building services engineering, ideally working on University, laboratory or hospital facilities.
- Team-focus with the ability to engage with a wide variety of clients and stakeholders whilst working proactively with project managers, maintenance and asset management staff to improve the performance of our engineering assets at all our campuses.
- Eagerness to learn and progress your career in engineering and thrive on the variety and complexity of the range of facilities that Griffith University owns and operates.
Applicants must have unrestricted working rights. VISA sponsorship is not available for this position. Successful candidates may be subject to a criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full time position and whilst it is based at the Griffith University, Brisbane South (Nathan) campus, you will be regularly required to work across other campus locations at Mt Gravatt, Gold Coast, Logan and South Bank Brisbane.
