The Role

The client we are supporting are actively looking for a Project Manager with a proven background in renewable energy delivery/development across Australia. This role will involve close interaction with the Project Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Construction and Senior Management teams to progress Battery Energy Storage projects from development to asset management. The ideal Project Manager for this position will bring across a background of strong and proven experience in delivering Utility Scale Grid Connected Energy Storage projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and coordinating large experienced project teams to bring assets to financial close, shifting into managing the construction phase
    Managing and working closely with Owners Engineers/Consultants, reviewing their reports and overseeing technical project requirements as required
    Lead the management of Civil/Electrical/Mechanical engineers and consultants in collaboration with wider team across large projects
    Provide the leadership to successfully deliver projects to required HSE and compliance standards 
  • Work closely with TNSP's to negotiate connection agreements and required service agreements with relevant parties

Requirements:

  • Strong and proven Project Management skills with ability to collaborate with project team, senior management and external stakeholders as required
    An individual who is team driven and has the ability to work autonomously also
  • Have a proven and strong understanding of renewable energy commercial and construction aspects
    5+ years of experience in renewable energy project development and/or project engineering
  • Degree-educated in a related field
